String Theory plays traditional old time, contradance, bluegrass and Americana music and is made up of some of Athens finest acoustic musicians. The band taps deeply into the varied talents of five experienced acoustic musicians to combine driving renditions of traditional old time fiddle tunes and songs rendered with four-part vocal harmonies and spiced with bluegrass and Americana elements. The lineup includes from Tommy Jordan (banjo, guitar, vocals), Dick Daniels (bass, mandolin, guitar and vocals), Antoon Speters (mandolin, banjo), Susan Staley (guitar, vocals and beat box) and Dale Wechsler (fiddle).
Old Time Acoustic Music
String Theory performs throughout Northeast Georgia and has played at The Georgia Theatre, the Foundry and the State Botanical Garden in Athens, GA, as well as AthFest, the North Georgia Folk Festival and monthly contra dances.  We do concerts, dances, weddings, and private parties.
